Optimum annealed microstructure for excellent forming results
Wire rod and predrawn wire is annealed on four plinths in our program-controlled HICON/H2® hood furnaces. Two heating hoods provide fast, even heating of annealing batches weighing up to 50 tonnes. Two cooling hoods allow carefully controlled cooling until the material is removed.
The use of hydrogen as an inert gas produces the cleanest wire surfaces, an homogenous annealed microstructure and consistent mechanical properties.
Material and process data is collected, displayed and permanently documented throughout the entire duration of the process.
